HBO/WO Internship: Creation of scope management process.

Since 1996, DAF is part of PACCAR, a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF trucks. PACCAR also provides financial services and information technology and distributes truck parts to its principal business.

Omschrijving afdeling / Description department:

Within the PACCAR Global Powertrain organization, the Global Engine department is responsible for the development of heavy duty truck engine and aftertreatment systems complying with EU and NA legislation. The engines are used in applications of DAF, Kenworth, Peterbilt and different coach suppliers. The Project Management team is responsible for realization of development projects within the constraints of Quality, Timing, Cost and Performance (QTCP).

Wat ga je doen: / What are you going to do:

Project scope within global engines is currently managed at individual project level. Scope requests that are not implemented (completely) within a project are not captured and managed at a program level. This can lead to scope requests that are not (timely) implemented for our customers and, in many cases, it is unclear where and how Scope requests will be implemented.

Fot this assignment you will:

• Determine how scope is managed currently for individual projects and at different departments within the PACCAR organization
• Establish the requirements and the desired process for scope request management with stakeholders
• Prepare a process/procedure proposal for scope request management at an engine program level
• Investigate availability of (commercially) available software tools that can be used for scope management
• Recommendation how to implement the process/procedure and the tool

For this rol we are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in Business Adminstration or Industrial engineering
• You have good communication and persentation skills in English
• You have knowledge of MS office
• You are looking for an internship for 3 till 6 months
