Students ACE Mobility Professional Program during training at test track VB-Airsuspension

On Monday, November 22, the group of graduating students enjoyed the third training of the ACE Mobility Professional Program. This time, the training was provided by Dex van den Bogert of VB-Airsuspension in Varsseveld. Dex is a junior Test Engineer and during this training he challenged the students on the characteristics of different types of air suspension.

After completing a theoretical case, the students were able to experience in person what it is like to drive a vehicle with air suspension around the test track. After this testround, the students started analyzing the collected data and in this way got a better idea of the job as a Test Engineer.

VB-Airsuspension has developed in recent years into an organization that operates globally. Their air suspension is increasingly becoming the standard in the light commercial vehicle sector. For example, they convert ambulances for Dutch hospitals, but they also supply a large number of OEMs such as Mercedes, Iveco and Renault with air suspension or reinforced coil springs. In addition, they are also very active in the camper industry. With this they provide vehicles with more comfort or better stability, it is also possible to lower or lift vehicles.

The training gave the students an insight into a field in which they will almost certainly be involved as engineers in the future.
