Technical Talents Fontys present innovative research

On Wednesday February 3th 2021 Fontys will host the semi-annual 'Engineering & Technology  in Practice' symposium. 

Fifty teams, consisting of Engineering students of Fontys, will present their pre-graduation projects in which they collaborated with leading technology companies during the online symposium ‘Engineering & Technology in Practice’, op Wednesday 3 February from 2 to 6 pm. The event will be organized by Fontys University Engineering a Fontys Centre of Expertise High Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM). Some students did some research on automotive topics. Interesting for (automotive) companies who are involved in innovative developments. 

Online and live

Het online symposium contains a mix of presentations. The students present themselves with a pitch by video. Products and prototypes will be demonstrated. Also each student group will be joining the symposium online and explain about their project and the results to the online audience. On an overview of all projects is availabe. All presentations are in English.

The student groups present their results to a jury with members from the education institutes and from the companies. The best project will get a price of 500 euros, with has been made possible by the Fontys Centre of Expertise HTSM. The projects will be judged on innovative aspects and marketing possibilities. 

For students there is room to meet companies, for companies it is interesting to meet the new hires of the nearby future. Students of the Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive, Mechatronica and Mathematics are in the meeting.
