Assignment/ work/ activities:
Wiring harnesses connect all electric and electronic components in a vehicle, enabling the communication and information flow as well as their energy provision. In the past, the harness used to be a price-driven commodity product, however, autonomous driving and electrification are now inducing a paradigm shift for this industry. The harness is now not only the most expensive bought-in part in the vehicle, but will also become one of the most quality critical ones, as it increasingly enables safety critical functions. The Goal of this study is:
■ to analyze strength & necessity of the simulation process in the harness development
■ to understand the impact of using alternative conductor materials & cables on harness development and production
■ to create models for simulation & alternative cable usage and compare the results with real wiring harnesses

You have/ competences/ skills:
We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible students that are familiar with the circuit analysis & electric power distribution and who are willing to take their creative ideas to the next level. By creating concepts, analyse them and having discussions with experienced engineers and using their feedback in to not only improve your design, but to ultimately improve yourself!
